The "eyes" are in the following order, from left to right: Beachwalker, Buyo, Dyani, Miyuki, Hiromi, Jason, Squeenky & Pooki.
This was the former header for the Johnson-Cordray website; posted promptly after Pooki joined the family. It was only there for about a year.

POOKI - 01/16/10
This was Pooki's sidebar portrait on the Johnson-Cordray website. As with all our cats, we chose this picture to be funny. Not as funny now that she's dead. But still a good picture & it became the inspiration for the header of this tribute site.
The following post is a direct copy & paste from the Johnson-Cordray Xmas blog page. Though it does not actually show any pictures of Pooki, it mentioned her so I decided to include it.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 25, 2009
This year is the 2009 Johnson-Cordray family Xmas! We had a full house this time around! In attendance were: Dyani, Jason, Miyuki, Hiromi, Janet, Dan, Jyunko, Judy, Nathan, Jamie, Clark, Erin & Gelie... cats: Buyo, Beachwalker, Squeenky & Pooki... and in spirit (meaning, they were the next street down from our house in Janet/Dan's backyard) were doggies: Starsky & Hutch.

We had so many guests this year (a new record) that we ran out of stockings. I had to get a few special orders from my mom, used childhood stockings for my brother & me, Pooki had an Xmas bag & Squeenky had to settle for an Xmas kitty potholder.
.
My mom (Jay) made all the stockings. There is the set of like 10 that are all alike that we can use for different guests every year (I just tape a picture of our faces to the fronts). There are the 2 smaller stockings that were for our first 2 cats (we had them for 5 years before any other cats came along). There were, this year, 2 special-order stockings for my in-laws (Dan & Janet). There were 2 special-order stockings in doggy-theme for the California Cordray's dogs. And since we were running low on stockings, I used my brother's & my childhood stockings for, well, my brother & me.

Beachwalker fetches her new toy! Unfortunately for us, her favorite toy of all time has become a collectors item & can only be found on ebay!
.
Pooki & Squeenky were shy & we didn't see them around. We found out later that they had been creeping in & out of the room & into the tree, but never where we could see them & maybe take a picture of them.

The following post is a direct copy & paste from the Johnson-Cordray website. It featured a beautiful Pooki sitting in one of her favorite spots, bird-watching.

Pooki - tripping the light fantastic
.
(actually, she's just bird-watching on the kitchen window over a sink of dirty dishes)

After our adoption of Pooki, the following post is a direct copy & paste from the Johnson-Cordray website, introducing her to the world as the newest member of our family.

The girls are whining away in the back seat of the car after a long drive into town, then back home. Dyani decided to stop off at Petsmart to browse (something the girls enjoy).
.
In Petsmart, they see a very cute kitty that is in need of a good home. They play with this kitty and later leave.
.
Miyuki continues to ask, at times during the following week, when we can go get the kitty at Pessmark and bring it to our good home.
.
The next week, the girls & Dyani back to Petsmart to actually shop for Xmas gifts (yes, for cats & dogs, no people). They find the gray kitty in the metal cage still needing a good home. They play with kitty some more & buy a package of rabbit-furred mice.
.
Miyuki continues to ask, at times during the following week, when we can go get the gray kitty at Pesskmart (getting better at pronouncing the name).
.
The next week, the whole family goes to Petsmart to get a new water dish for County (our gecko). The girls introduce the kitty (who's still there, waiting for a good home) to daddy. Miyuki, Hiromi & Dyani proceed to bombard Jason with pleas for the little kitty in the metal cage.
.
Pooki gets a good home. The family forgets about the water dish & has to go back another day.

No, Pooki is not to be confused with Pookie, the sexy female lizard-like assassin from the M.Y.T.H. novels by Robert Asprin.
.
No, Pooki is not to be confused with Pooky, Garfield the cat's beloved teddy bear (right) from the Jim Davis comic strips.
.
Pooki is just our Pooki & is the pookinest Pooki that ever pooked a pook.
